🛑 Trigger Warnings: Sexual Assault of Minor(s) and Rape

A nice throwback to the 90s-00s as far the setting and minor details go. A great spooky season/fall read/listen.

Jack, an all-girls’ school teacher and soccer team coach, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student/team member. When he takes a plea is convicted, he spends eight months behind bars. Upon his release, he’s lost everything. He has the clothes on his back and the shoes on his feet – both wildly inappropriate for the harsh New England weather. Aimlessly riding in a cab, Jack ends up in Salem Falls. He hopes to start a new life, forget about everything. But a little magic, maybe some obsession, definitely some mental illness, loss and grief, biases, and those controversial things that Jodi is able to weave into her work in such a way that she’s evoking deeper thought on the topic, all while putting it in different perspectives.
