I’m only giving the 4⭐️ rating because the Audible narrator was REALLY hard to listen to for the first 20ish chapters. HOWEVER. I will say that the change of the voice/inflection put forward for Nora DID really assist in the development of her character over the course of the storyline. Which, I think, is an important aspect of an audio book.
Daughter of a convicted serial killer. Unreliable narrator? Maybe. A set up? Could be. But who? & why? Following Nora’s nearly unbelievable story will have you SCREAMING at her, identifying with her, maybe a little afraid of her, perhaps a little pity… it’s a rollercoaster.
Wrapped up – in true Frieda fashion – with an ending you absolutely WILL NOT see coming.
