I don’t even know where to begin. Calling it “full of twists & turns” just doesn’t cover it. All the little details, the little things you KNOW are important are standing out like sore thumbs – you’re SCREAMING at Adria to get her shit together. The red flags will leave you blind. Your heart is pounding along with hers. It’s so unbelievable that it can’t be anything else!
Adria’s husband Peter has some dark secrets. After an accounting audit at Adria’s family charitable foundation revealed embezzlement activities linked to Peter, Adria becomes suspicious. She loops in head of security for the foundation and the other family businesses, Harvey. After doing some digging, Harvey texts Adria with an ominous message about her husband. Wondering what else he’s lied about, she continues digging. When Peter realizes she’s uncovering the truth, he suggests a trip to the lake house – in the middle of winter. And he won’t take no for an answer.
Just when you think you know EXACTLY what is going here, you’ll find yourself spinning in circles wondering where that just came from.
This one you absolutely will not see the ending coming at you – this one sneaks up on you.
