⚠️⚠️SPOILERS!!⚠️⚠️

Lisa – neé Charlotte – has big secrets. One of them being her past – being Charlotte. A new identity; a new start. Charlotte finds herself in love – or least she thought so. Before the relationship fractured, Charlotte had their daughter, Crystal. Once it was clear she had to leave, she did. And she took Crystal with her.

Charlotte spent years running from her past, denying herself an ounce of happiness, but also, building a new life. A new life as Lisa. Lisa and Ava. Their quiet little life is interrupted when Ava, a prize winning swimmer, dives into a river to save a drowning young boy. A picture in the paper sends it all crashing down.

With the help of her best friend and her newest love interest (well, the only one she’d had in years), Lisa uncovers the truth about her past. And about herself.

While the story line was extremely engaging, the last several chapters DID seem a bit fantastical. The trap doors, the illusions, etc.. however it was tied in nicely – so it wasn’t COMPLETELY outlandish. Just sort of seemed to go in a different direction, so it speak.
