Grief & trauma can be isolating. So when you find someone who “gets it”… REALLY gets it… it’s special. When Amanda & Wendy meet at a group grief therapy meeting, Amanda is drawn to Wendy almost immediately. Wendy was tough – she wanted revenge – she didn’t want to forgive, we wanted to hurt someone back. Amanda, having been feeling the same way – even having gone so far as to planned the murder of the man that killed her daughter – felt a kindred spirit with Wendy. Their friendship, their bond, formed hard & fast. Amanda could TALK to Wendy & Wendy understood where she was coming from. The same for Wendy! That is until their talk of exchanging murders becomes real. Rocketing down a path she thought she wanted to be on, Amanda finds herself trying to get off the ride… FAST. Wendy is, well, in the wind & Amanda is left to pick up the pieces… & dodge the cops.

Each piece of the puzzle fits neatly together at the end, it ALMOST seems like it’s all wrapped up neatly with a bow. There are still a few lingering questions… some “loose ends”. Overall, good story, enjoyed the writing. Character development fueled the story & the final twist was certainly unexpected.

I kind of lost interest after we learned the truth. I held on to know the truth about Ruth & to see what happened to Amanda. Ultimately, glad I finished because we did get some clarity.
